About the position

The DevSecOps Engineer role at Beacon Hill involves planning, conducting, and coordinating software development activities for the NextGen OPIR Ground Solution. The engineer will design, develop, document, test, and debug software while ensuring adherence to appropriate standards and processes throughout the development life cycle. This position requires a strong focus on implementing DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines, as well as correcting program errors and preparing necessary documentation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities.
• Design, develop, document, test, and debug software within the NextGen OPIR Ground Solution.
• Apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.
• Correct program errors and prepare operating instructions.
• Compile documentation of program development and analyze system capabilities.
• Ensure software standards are met.

Requirements

• DevSecOps/CI/CD full pipeline tools implementation knowledge/experience.
• Experience with Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or SALT for configuration management.
• Experience with Terraform, HEAT, or Cloud Formation for infrastructure as code.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, OpenStack, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with GitlabCI, Jenkins, Github Actions, CircleCI, or TravisCI for CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.
• Experience in a RedHat Linux environment.
• Knowledge and scripting experience with Ansible/Ansible Tower.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge or experience with Kubernetes, distributed systems, machine learning, and multi-threaded applications.
• Active Interim Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance (preferred).
• Experience with Hashicorp Vault and Hashicorp Boundary.
• Experience with JFrog Artifactory or Sonatype Nexus.
• Experience with Dynamic Application Scanning (DAST).
• Experience with Selenium, Sikuli, and Cucumber Gherkin testing.
