About the position

The Deskside Support Technician position at Allied Digital Services involves providing technical support and maintenance for end-user computing equipment at corporate locations. The role requires troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of hardware and software, acting as a liaison between customers and departments to resolve issues effectively. The technician will work within defined practices and policies to ensure customer satisfaction and meet service level agreements (SLAs).

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite support to Authorized Users with operational and technical support to meet specified SLAs
  • Resolve incidents and problems associated with EUC equipment
  • Perform reactive troubleshooting to identify potential incidents or problems and attempt to eliminate them
  • Support Authorized Users in connecting to the corporate network and assist in accessing LAN, print, and file services
  • Provide repair and maintenance for mobile devices as needed
  • Install, upgrade, and repair EUC equipment (desktops, laptops, monitors, and associated peripherals)
  • Provide software break/fix services and replacement of non-warranty assets for end users
  • Provide network printers and scanner network connectivity, including configuration and IP addressing
  • Provide warranty and break/fix support for networked printers and scanners
  • Provide VIP support for various devices including desktop devices, mobile devices, and communication devices
  • Provide on-site hardware support for troubleshooting end-user computing technologies
  • Provide telepresence and audio-video meeting support as needed
  • Utilize problem management database to track and report on customer calls and requests
  • Communicate technical information to technical and non-technical teams and customers
  • Perform deskside support services as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience preferred)
  • CompTIA A+ certification
  • MCSA: Windows 7 and 10 certification
  • MCSE: Desktop Infrastructure certification
  • Sound knowledge of data backup
  • Experience with installing, upgrading, and migrating to Windows 10
  • Knowledge of Endpoint Management (SCCM)
  • Experience with Active Directory
  • Ability to deploy Windows 10 in large enterprises
  • Experience configuring hardware and applications
  • Experience configuring network connectivity and access to resources
  • Experience with mobile computing
  • Ability to monitor and maintain systems running Windows 7 and Windows 10
  • Experience configuring backup and recovery options.
