About the position

Designs components or segments of cableway and modifies existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations. Utilizes computer-aided design software, including ShipConstructor, Navisworks, and cable routing applications. Collects information, conducts studies, performs calculations, and prepares original rough layouts and sketches to present design proposals. Coordinates design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning groups, ensuring ease of manufacture, material availability, and adherence to contractual specifications. Excludes classifications where incumbents predominantly perform drafting assignments.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 3 years experience.
  • High school diploma and 7 years of related experience.

  • Proficient in cableway design concepts and requirements, including percent fill, bend radius, cable separation, and cable entry specifications for equipment.
  • Possesses strong problem-solving abilities and thrives in collaborative team environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
