About the position

The Designated Selling Associate (DSA) Salesperson at Nordstrom is a customer-focused role that emphasizes building relationships and driving sales through exceptional service and product knowledge. DSAs are responsible for achieving sales goals, educating customers on fashion trends, and collaborating with team members to maintain a customer-ready environment. This position requires flexibility in working across different departments and a commitment to understanding customer needs to enhance their shopping experience.

Responsibilities

  • Set and achieve sales goals for both in-store and digital selling using effective selling tools.
  • Build lasting relationships with customers.
  • Provide the best service to customers, which may require flexibility in performing duties in different departments.
  • Offer honest and confident feedback to customers about style, fit, and value of products.
  • Seek fashion and product knowledge through meetings and training to enhance expertise.
  • Conduct product knowledge meetings with other DSAs and Stylists.
  • Provide valid product feedback to the Department Manager to improve product assortment.
  • Drive business through appointment-based selling during events and non-events.
  • Collaborate with the team to keep the department customer-ready, including stocking and merchandising.
  • Grow sales by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.
