About the position

The Design Build Project Quality Manager at HNTB Corporation is a pivotal role within the Design Build Organization, focusing on ensuring quality management for fast-paced transportation infrastructure projects. This position involves developing and implementing the Quality Management System (QMS), training project teams, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance quality performance and manage risks effectively. The Quality Manager will report to senior leadership and work closely with project teams to uphold HNTB's standards and improve project profitability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the implementation of the program/project quality management plan in accordance with client and FTA requirements.
• Review and approve subconsultant quality plans and ensure adherence to the project quality plan.
• Monitor compliance with quality management standards and report on quality performance to leadership and clients.
• Establish quality performance metrics to achieve delivery and client quality management objectives.
• Participate in monthly program/project meetings to report on quality performance.
• Develop and oversee training for the program/project quality management plan.
• Manage a quality audit program and a corrective action system for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in quality management/engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 10 years of experience managing a quality program, including auditing experience in planning, design, and construction phases.
• Experience implementing quality management plans in compliance with ISO 9001 and/or FTA Quality Management System requirements.

Nice-to-haves

• Registered Professional Engineer (specific to Design-Build Projects)
• ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)
• PMP, DBIA, AICP, or CMAA Certifications.
