About The Position

Previous medical clinic experience is preferred, and dermatology experience is highly desired, but not required. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, particularly related to dermatology.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interactions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic office software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing patients for visits by obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and documenting relevant information.
  • Assisting physicians during dermatologic examinations, biopsies, procedures, and treatments.
  • Educating patients on treatment plans, medications, and skincare recommendations.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records within the electronic medical record system.
  • Supporting clinic operations through scheduling, patient communication, and coordination of care.
  • Preparing and maintaining exam rooms, instruments, and supplies.
  • Performing specimen collection and handling according to established protocols.
