About the position

The Dermatology Medical Assistant/Scribe position at Cole Dermatology & Aesthetic Center is a part-time role focused on providing support in a dermatology setting. The primary responsibilities include transcribing medical information, maintaining patient records, and assisting with patient care under the direction of healthcare providers. Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently transcribe medical information during patient visits.
• Maintain organized, up-to-date medical charts and records.
• Maintain a pathology log in EMA.
• Clean and autoclave surgical instruments.
• Record patient history, physical examination findings, diagnostic test results, and treatment plans.
• Work with healthcare team members to ensure accurate and complete documentation.
• Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
• Prepare and organize medical reports, referrals, and other administrative documents.
• Assist with tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of EMA/Mod Med scribing experience in Dermatology.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and the ability to accurately interpret and document medical information.
• Ability to provide basic patient care, such as assisting with procedures under the direction of a healthcare provider.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills to interact with healthcare providers, patients, and other staff members.
