About the position

The individual will be a member of Glenmede's Derivatives Strategy team in Glenmede Investment Management (GIM) which is responsible for actively managing almost $1 Billion of derivative strategies and overlays. The Derivatives Strategy Associate reports directly to the Head of Derivatives Strategy and works directly with investment-related professionals across all functions and departments to support firm objectives. The position will provide additional depth and resources to the Derivatives Strategy team. The individual will be expected to provide input and support in the day-to-day management of client derivatives portfolios and pooled vehicle derivatives strategies. The ideal candidate will have experience working with trading interfaces (e.g. Charles River, Bloomberg, Eze EMS), have a basic derivative overlay understanding, experience with front, middle or back-office straight through trade processing, and client services.

Responsibilities

  • Support of trading activity from execution, settlement, clearing and post-trade analysis.
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve issues that may arise with trading activity for client portfolios and derivatives strategies.
  • Contribute to the continuous automation and process improvement through collaboration with our operations and technology teams.
  • Support client account opening and onboarding ensuring processes are seamless.
  • Contributing to the managing and enhancing of sophisticated derivatives investment strategies.
  • Support the managing of portfolio risk by evaluating historical and real-time strategy performance.
  • Work with Senior team members to develop and implement new derivative product solutions.
  • Effectively communicating the investment process, portfolio construction and investment performance to sales prospects and existing clients.
  • Monitor market trends, news and economic indicators impacting the derivative portfolios and strategies.
  • Conduct research/analysis on market trends, financial instruments or new strategies evolving in the derivative market.
  • Support the investment team in department-specific and firm-wide initiatives aimed at expanding capabilities, creating solutions to unmet business needs, improving client experience, or developing more efficient processes.
  • Participate in various derivative projects as needed to help support overall Derivative Strategy teams goals & objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a strong analytical and quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science or Financial Engineering.
  • Working knowledge of US Listed Options, Foreign and Domestic Equities, ETFs, and/or Fixed Income products.
  • Experience in middle office and post-trade support functions.
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in financial services.
