Deputy Director of Voter ID Assistance

VoteRidersWashington, DC
Remote

About The Position

VoteRiders is the only national-scale, nonpartisan organization dedicated exclusively to voter ID — the increasingly critical barrier standing between millions of eligible Americans and the ballot box. We eliminate ID barriers to voting by informing communities about ID laws, equipping partner organizations to expand voting access, advocating for pro-voter policies, and providing free, one-on-one help to individuals to secure an accepted form of ID to vote. Voter ID assistance (VIDA) is VoteRiders' core, signature program — the direct expression of our mission and the work that most distinguishes us in the pro-democracy ecosystem. The 2026–2028 Strategic Plan calls for sustainable scaling of VIDA to meet rising demand for our services, requiring strong operational leadership, innovative program delivery, and a growing network of partners and volunteers who can extend our reach cost-effectively. The Deputy Director plays a central role in delivering on that mandate. The Deputy Director is second-in-command on the national VIDA team, assisting the National Director in overseeing program delivery. This role leads all VIDA partner organization management functions — and owns program systems, reporting infrastructure, and program-wide metrics. This is a full-time, remote position reporting to the National VIDA Director.
