About the position

The Department Secretary plays a crucial role in providing administrative support to the Director/Manager, ensuring the smooth operation of the department. This position involves performing various secretarial and clerical duties while adhering to the organization's policies and standards. The Secretary is expected to work independently and contribute to the department's performance improvement activities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various administrative, secretarial, and clerical duties.
  • Understand and follow the organization's policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Meet the day-to-day needs of the Director/Manager as an independent worker.
  • Participate in the department's performance improvement activities.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Three to five years of secretarial experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to communicate in additional languages preferred.
