About the position
The Department Lead at Rural King plays a crucial role in managing the operations of a specific department, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in various activities such as inventory management, customer service, and merchandising. This position emphasizes maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization while providing exceptional service to enhance the shopping experience for customers.
Responsibilities
- Oversee scanning outs, inventory management, and recovery processes.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies in inventory.
- Coordinate and execute price changes and update pricing labels and signage.
- Manage the implementation of planogram sets and ensure product arrangement meets company standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness within the department, enforcing sanitation and safety protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with inquiries and concerns.
- Support front-end operations by processing transactions or loadouts as required.
- Participate in cross-training for flexibility in various departments and responsibilities.
- Engage in learning initiatives such as training programs and workshops.

Requirements
- At least 2 years of retail experience with knowledge of specific department.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Experience in providing exceptional customer service.
- Comfortable navigating computer systems and software.
