About the position
The Dental Lab Technician Trainee position at National Dentex involves working in a specialized dental lab environment to assist in the creation of dental restorations. This entry-level role is designed for individuals looking to start their career in the dental industry, providing hands-on training and experience in various lab processes. The position requires attention to detail and the ability to work with precision tools and materials to produce high-quality dental products.
Responsibilities
- Create models from denture impressions using dental stone and a vibrator to eliminate bubbles.
- Fabricate custom impression trays and wax bite rims to ensure proper lip support and occlusal positions.
- Set up teeth in the desired occlusal scheme, ensuring proper form and function.
- Flask dentures in a holding device and inject acrylic into the plaster mold after removing wax.
- Trim and polish the finished dentures, ensuring a natural appearance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English.
- Demonstrated relevant employment may be considered in lieu of education.
