The Dental Assistant at Pleasant Grove Dental Care plays a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the dental team. This position emphasizes a patient-first approach, continuous learning, and teamwork within a supportive environment. The Dental Assistant will utilize state-of-the-art technology and be involved in various dental procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients, ensuring comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
• Conduct thorough reviews of patients' health histories to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments using advanced technology.
• Provide superior chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures.
• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following strict safety protocols and OSHA & CDC recommendations.
• Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed.
• Partner with providers and team members to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification if required by state law.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

• 1+ years of experience in a dental setting.
• Experience with Dentrix or other dental software.
• Dental assisting school certification.
