About the position
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various dental procedures and possess strong organizational skills to support our dental practice.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
- Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
- Perform various office tasks as needed
Requirements
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and sterilization methods
- Experience with medical imaging, endodontics, prosthodontics, and vital signs measurement
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or Epic software is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
- Reliable, loyal and responsible
