About the position
Midtown Dental Care is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join their team, focusing on providing exceptional patient care and supporting the clinical needs of the dental office. The role emphasizes teamwork, continuous learning, and patient-first service in a modern dental environment equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
- Conduct thorough reviews of patients' health histories to ensure quality care.
- Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments using advanced technology.
- Provide chairside assistance to dentists during various procedures in accordance with state regulations.
- Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
- Prepare treatment rooms following strict safety protocols and OSHA & CDC recommendations.
- Manage supply and inventory levels, placing and expediting orders as needed.
- Collaborate with providers and team members to implement office systems and maximize workflow.
Requirements
- Valid Certified Dental Assistant certification (if required by state).
- Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
- Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Nice-to-haves
- 1+ years of experience in a dental setting.
- Experience with Dentrix or other dental software.
- Dental assisting school certification.
