About The Position

The Dental Assistant provides direct support to the dentist by preparing treatment areas, assisting with procedures, and ensuring a sterile and organized environment. The role also involves patient interaction, charting, and adherence to infection control standards to deliver quality dental care. Requirements

• Dental assisting experience
• X-Ray certification
• BLS certification
• 8-hour Infection Control certification
• 2-hour Dental Practice Act certification

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist in all chairside procedures.
• Take X-rays and process diagnostic images.
• Provide pre- and post-treatment instructions to patients.
• Ensure patients feel comfortable and understand their procedures.
• Maintain accurate treatment notes and charting.
• Prepare and sanitize treatment areas, instruments, and equipment.
• Support sterilization protocols and infection control guidelines.
• Take impressions for study models and appliances.
• Prepare dental materials for fillings, crowns, and bridges.
• Provide suctioning and isolation during procedures.
• Assist with placing and removing temporary restorations.
• Handle instrument sterilization and inventory management.
• Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols.
• Track and manage inventory and supply restocking.
• Assist the front office as needed with scheduling and patient inquiries.
