About the position

The position involves performing basic chair side assisting duties, maintaining instruments and equipment, ensuring radiographic proficiency, and managing dental supply inventory. The role is essential in providing support to dentists and ensuring a smooth workflow in the dental office.

Responsibilities

• Greets and seats patients
• Prepares room for treatment
• Assists Dentists during procedures
• Cleans room after treatment to prepare for next patient
• Takes appropriate radiographs as requested
• Cleans and maintains dental instruments
• Keeps dental supplies stocked and on hand
• Maintains a log of maintenance activities
• Keeps an up-to-date record of supply ordering
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Graduation from a Dental Assistant Program
• Maryland Dental Radiation Technology Certificate
• Certification in Basic Dental Assisting
• Two years minimum experience required

Nice-to-haves

• Expanded Functional Certificate preferred
