About the position
We are currently sourcing for experienced Dental Assistants to be trained as instructors for our evening classes, which run Monday through Thursday from 5:30 PM to 10 PM, for 2-4 nights a week. In addition, we are hiring for Teaching Assistants and Substitutes with an immediate start available year-round. Ross Education Holdings, Inc.'s non-profit secondary education centers aim to provide all students with the tools to become much-needed healthcare professionals. We are looking for experienced Dental Assistants to become fully trained instructors to teach year-round classes as Primary Scheduled Instructors and Secondary Instructors ready to step in as needed for teaching assistant and substitutes. Responsibilities
- Teach in the Dental Assisting classroom with 10-20 students, covering clinical and administrative skills.
- Learn the material and deliver lectures and demonstrations, working from the Ross lesson plans and curriculum.
- Conduct class sessions that are 4.5 hours long in either day or evening sessions.
- Work part-time, typically 9-18 hours per week.
Requirements
- 3+ years' experience in the field and a national certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA from AMT) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA from DANB) and formal training in a dental assisting program like Ross.
- If you do not have the formal education, you can qualify with 5+ years' experience in the field and a national certification.
- Interest in teaching or prior experience.
- Must be flexible and have a passion to learn and grow.
