About the position
La Clinica de Familia Inc. is seeking a Dental Assistant to perform semi-technical dental and routine clerical work. The role involves assisting the dentist during examinations and treatments, cleaning and sterilizing instruments, and assisting with X-rays. The Dental Assistant will work under the supervision of the dentist, following standard procedures to promote community health and well-being in Southern New Mexico.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments.
- Clean, sterilize, and arrange dental instruments.
- Assist with taking X-rays.
- Perform routine clerical tasks as needed.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to OSHA regulations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Certification as a Dental Assistant in New Mexico.
- New Mexico radiology certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Under 1 year of dental office experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with customer service in a dental setting.
- Knowledge of dental instruments and procedures.
