This role involves managing billing processes for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, focusing on accuracy and efficiency in handling insurance accounts and patient communications. The position offers a blend of in-office and remote work, emphasizing the importance of finding the right candidate over prior experience.
Responsibilities
- Working insurance accounts receivables reports/projects
- Claim submission
- Posting payments and adjustments
- Communication with clients and insurance companies regarding patient accounts
Requirements
- Experience in medical/dental billing preferred but not required
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to work in a team setting and independently
- Self-motivated
- Ability to multi-task
- Comfortable working with numbers
- Problem-solving skills related to payments
- Technologically savvy with the ability to learn new software programs easily
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent phone skills
- Basic knowledge of ICD10, CPT, CDT is a plus
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of Epic, WinOMS, DSN, or OMSVision
