About the position

The Delivery Services Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Delivery and Furniture Preparation departments. The Delivery Services Coordinator verifies and assists with processing the pay role for the Delivery and Furniture Prep departments. This individual will also check in Delivery Drivers when they return from route, verify/complete all paperwork that is turned in, and will also check in and inventory work cell phones, iPads, and delivery truck keys. The Delivery Services Coordinator will work with multiple departments to process merchandise to be added on or canceled from the delivery routes, and will coordinate and work with the Inventory Control and Delivery Return to Stock departments to resolve any inventory discrepancies that may occur. Responsibilities

  • Verify and assist with processing the payroll for the Delivery and Furniture Prep departments.
  • Check in Delivery Drivers upon their return from route and verify/complete all paperwork.
  • Inventory work cell phones, iPads, and delivery truck keys.
  • Process merchandise to be added on or canceled from delivery routes.
  • Coordinate with Inventory Control and Delivery Return to Stock departments to resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Monitor and update the Truck Manifest (TKM) and Furniture Preparation Commission forms.
  • Audit and verify Delivery Driver and Furniture Preparation payroll.
  • Identify and read reports, tickets, and UPC labels.
  • Process add-ons, cancels, and special delivery orders.
  • Assist with inventorying tablets, fuel cards, truck keys, and other items as requested by management.
  • Work effectively with multiple departments to improve processes and maximize efficiency.

Requirements

  • Commitment to AFW's safety policies and procedures and ability to promote awareness.
  • 1 Year of experience working for American Furniture Warehouse preferred but not required.
  • Experience or knowledge of the Delivery Department process and procedures.
  • Ability to apply technology including Dispatch Track, iPads, Storis, Excel, and Windows.
  • Positive attitude with strong inter-personal skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Basic mathematic skills.
  • Professional appearance.
