About the position

The Delivery & Installation CDL Truck Driver at AmeriGas is responsible for safely operating a propane service vehicle, installing and repairing propane tanks, and ensuring high standards of safety and customer service. This role involves working closely with customers to meet their propane needs while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a propane service vehicle with lift gate and boom along provided service routes
• Perform repairs on existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers
• Install new propane tanks/systems for commercial and residential customers
• Perform Delivery Representative functions, such as delivering bulk or canister propane as needed
• Adhere to all federal and state codes and regulations, as well as AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies and Procedures
• Consistently use required Personal Protective Equipment
• Work 8 to 12-hour shifts depending on fluctuating needs

Requirements

• Valid class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements
• Acceptable driving record
• Satisfactory completion of a DOT physical, drug test, and background check
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 70lbs
