We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team at Scramuzza's Seafood LLC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate routes efficiently, playing a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction and upholding our company's reputation.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products from the vehicle, ensuring items are secured and protected during transit.
- Follow designated routes while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organization of products.
- Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks for loading and unloading heavy items.
Requirements
- Proven experience in courier or delivery driving roles is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Proficient in route driving with a good understanding of local traffic patterns.
- Experience in moving or warehouse environments is a plus.
- Ability to operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with loading and unloading procedures, including the use of pallet jacks.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping.
- Strong communication skills to effectively relay information regarding deliveries.
