With over 100 years of service, FGI is expanding and seeking talented individuals to join their team. The Edmonton West Branch has an opportunity for a Delivery Driver to join their team, contributing to a forward-thinking company shaping the transportation industry.

Requirements

5 years of total driving experience with no major driving infractions, combined with strong knowledge of Edmonton and surrounding areas
Minimum 1-2 years of courier-related driving with strong customer service experience preferred
High school diploma or other equivalency certificate
Must be able to meet the physical requirements: Occasionally lift up to 75 – 100lbs, sit for long periods of time, drive an FGI vehicle on roadways and highways
Proficient with Microsoft Office and other standard office equipment
Excellent customer service skills
Strong communication skills, including both written and verbal
Team-oriented, adaptable, with a commitment to safety excellence

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with transporting dangerous goods is preferred but not required
Familiarity with aftermarket parts or heavy-duty parts is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Deliver FGI products to customers on designated routes while building strong relationships with customers
Load materials into the vehicle and install straps, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate
Report any missing or damaged product to management and follow up
Pick up cores and any return merchandise and tag at the branch for vendor return
Assist inside the warehouse between deliveries
Other duties as assigned
