Be part of a legacy of excellence and growth with sg360°! sg360° is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Driver to support the transportation of materials, mail, and production-related items between company facilities, customers, vendors, and postal locations throughout the greater Chicago area. This position plays an important role in supporting daily production and delivery operations while ensuring timely and accurate transportation services. The regular schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, 10:30AM to 6:30PM.

Requirements

  • Valid Illinois driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • No major violations or DUI offenses.
  • Knowledge of roadways and traffic patterns throughout the Chicago area.
  • Ability to read maps and follow written or verbal directions.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Basic computer and mobile device proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 3 years of driving experience preferred.
  • Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or logistics experience is a helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company vehicles (Cargo Van) while following all traffic laws, DOT regulations, company policies, and established transportation procedures.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after deliveries to ensure vehicles are operating safely and efficiently, including checking fuel, oil, tires, lights, and brakes.
  • Report vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, delays, or transportation concerns promptly to management or dispatch.
  • Transport materials, products, and supplies between company locations, customer sites, warehouses, post offices, and other designated destinations in a timely manner.
  • Load and unload materials, packages, and inventory while ensuring items are handled safely and securely.
  • Verify shipments and inventory against packing slips, shipping documents, and delivery paperwork to ensure accuracy.
  • Obtain and maintain required delivery documentation, including bills, receipts, vehicle logs, cargo records, and other transportation-related records.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, shipping/receiving teams, and internal departments regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or delays.
  • Perform minor emergency vehicle maintenance, when necessary, such as changing tires or replacing light bulbs and fuses.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, warehouse, and dispatch-related duties as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, professional vehicle and work area.
  • Work overtime and flexible hours as needed to meet delivery schedules, operational demands, and business needs.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
