About the position

Van's Home Center is seeking a reliable and hard-working Delivery Driver to join their Warehouse team. The role involves delivering home furnishings and appliances to clients while ensuring the highest level of customer service and satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to manage various situations, and work well within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and routes.
• Install home appliances as required.
• Exude respect for customers and their property, taking precautions to avoid damages during delivery and installation.
• Follow designated routes and schedules for deliveries.
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate the delivery vehicle as needed.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks as necessary.
• Adhere to DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Lift and move items weighing between 50 to 100 lbs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (no CDL required).
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• 1 year of delivery driving experience preferred but not required.
• Experience or knowledge in plumbing, electrical, and/or HVAC trades is a plus.
• Ability to drive multiple types of vehicles, including box trucks and express vans.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work well with others and maintain effective relationships with team members.
• Strong time management skills.
• Effective communication skills with customers.
