About the position
This position involves delivering pizza to customers using your own vehicle. Responsibilities
- Provide quick and efficient service to guests by safely transporting orders to their homes or businesses.
- Check delivery orders for correctness and completeness before leaving the restaurant.
- Safely deliver orders to guests within the time frame quoted at the time of placing the order according to company standards.
- Utilize the restaurant Point of Sale system to itemize and total guest orders, accurately accept payment, and return change to the guest.
- Restock counter supplies to ensure sufficient quantities of napkins, paper plates, utensils, etc.
- Maintain cleanliness of counters, floors, and equipment in the delivery/dispatch area.
- Maintain own vehicle to ensure it is safe and complies with all state motor vehicle regulations.
- Maintain records of driver's license and auto insurance according to company standards and state regulations.
- Answer the restaurant telephone and take guest orders for delivery or take-out when designated phone person is unavailable.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant and grounds as directed.
Requirements
- Must be licensed to operate a motor vehicle.
- A minimum of 1 year driving experience.
- Must have a clean, reliable automobile with an up-to-date insurance policy.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to communicate clearly and articulately with team members and guests.
- Ability to interact professionally and appropriately with all team members and guests.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in customer service or food delivery.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
