About the position

The Deli Clerk at Longhouse Market is responsible for providing excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation. This role involves preparing deli food and barista items, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation, and interacting with guests to enhance their experience at the resort.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide excellent customer service.
• Prepare deli food and barista items according to department recipes.
• Maintain display cases and customer seating areas in compliance with cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Operate various kitchen equipment including panini grill, convection oven, and espresso machine.
• Process cash and non-cash sales accurately.
• Keep deli areas, customer tables, and seating areas stocked and clean.
• Follow Temp Logs and department closing lists.
• Perform daily dish washing and department cleaning tasks.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations.

Requirements

• 6 months of deli experience preferred.
• Ability to learn and maintain menu changes.
• Knowledge of scale management and preparation of various espresso and non-coffee drinks.
• Ability to use a computerized cash register.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to interface effectively with guests and team members.
• Strong organization, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts.
