About the position
The position at Chevron Stations Inc (CSI) involves working at retail gas stations, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards. Employees are expected to maintain a professional appearance, handle cash transactions accurately, and promote store specials while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Maintain courteous, professional contact with co-workers, customers, vendors, and the community.
- Support and follow established safety, security, and quality guidelines as well as CSI's policies and procedures.
- Ensure food safety hygiene in accordance with county regulations.
- Conduct all point-of-sale activities accurately and safely while adhering to CSI guidelines and procedures.
- Maintain cash drawer and perform cashier reconciliation at each end of shift.
- Perform consistent station cleaning of indoor and outdoor facilities.
- Prepare food and hot beverage products, managing food service effectively.
- Actively promote store specials and other marketing programs.
- Cross-check price of delivered goods for accuracy and distribute them in an orderly manner.
- Observe local law requirements in activating and filling vehicle fuel tanks.
Requirements
- Available to work a variety of hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to handle challenging situations professionally and exercise exceptional judgment.
- Ability to work both independently and in team settings.
- Must possess up-to-date food handling certificates, as required by law.
