About the position

The Decision Support Analyst II at Summit Medical Group is responsible for developing and running clinical, business, and financial strategic reports and solutions. This role plays a crucial part in producing reports, registries for outcomes, quality reporting, and clinical research, working both independently and collaboratively to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and run clinical, business, and financial strategic reports and solutions.
• Provide recommendations related to clinical informatics and business reporting.
• Develop SQL, ETLs, and XML; create and run reports for various service lines.
• Collaborate with vendors and IT technical staff to develop data mining processes.
• Advise management on clinical data warehouse needs and report writing tools.
• Inform management of trends and issues in clinical and business informatics.
• Create and produce dashboards, scorecards, and registry reports.
• Make recommendations to improve efficiency and accuracy of information.
• Collaborate with team members to design and recommend reporting solutions.
• Identify inefficiencies in reporting and redesign workflows.
• Participate in site-level Quality Improvement Activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
• Five years' experience in data science and/or decision support within a healthcare environment.
• Strong skills in descriptive analysis and reporting.
• Experience with quality of care metrics such as HEDIS and STARS.
• Familiarity with big data tools and database concepts.
• Experience with predictive modeling and risk adjustment.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with claims groupers used in payment including HCC model, DRG groupers, and Episode groupers.
