About the position

The Debug Technician role at Flex is focused on supporting teams that build electronic products by conducting tests and troubleshooting components and systems to ensure production quality standards are met. This position is essential for maintaining safety specifications and effective preventive maintenance, contributing to the overall growth of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct tests and troubleshoot electronic products, components, and systems.
  • Ensure that test processes comply with safety specifications.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and daily measurement schedules for test processes.
  • Follow engineering test processes accurately.
  • Configure and flash firmware on sub-assemblies and establish Ethernet connections.
  • Troubleshoot and debug at multiple system and component levels, identifying workmanship errors.
  • Perform module verification and troubleshoot wiring using schematic diagrams.
  • Provide first-line support for workstation and line issues.
  • Log defects and address trending failures.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in a related field and an associate degree, military technical training, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to read schematics and drawings, and use measurement instruments.
  • Proficient in interpreting a variety of instructions.
  • Experience with electronic assembly, PCB wiring, soldering, and testing tools such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
