Under the general direction of the Vice President of Instruction, the Interim Dean of Language and Communication performs duties in the administration and supervision of the instructional area, including instructor assignments, class schedules, staff evaluation and development, curriculum evaluation and development, budget recommendations, and facilities utilization and administration for day, extended day, weekend and summer offerings. The academic disciplines the Dean of Language and Communication currently supervises are: ASL - English Interpreter Preparation, Deaf Culture and ASL Studies, English as a Second Language, World Languages, and Communications.
