About the position

The Senior Associate position in the Deals Strategy practice at PwC involves assisting organizations in maximizing the value of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital markets. The role focuses on navigating accounting and financial reporting challenges, developing strategic roadmaps, and ensuring effective execution of deals through data-driven insights. As part of a team, the Senior Associate will engage in problem-solving, critical thinking, and relationship-building to address complex business issues.

Responsibilities

  • Assist organizations in realizing the potential of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
  • Develop roadmaps of driving economic objectives for deals.
  • Determine appropriate professionals needed for deal execution.
  • Consider financial reporting implications for business combinations.
  • Use feedback and reflection to develop self-awareness and personal strengths.
  • Delegate tasks to others, providing coaching and stretch opportunities.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and bring order to unstructured problems.
  • Extract insights from current industry or sector trends using various tools and techniques.
  • Review work for quality, accuracy, and relevance.
  • Communicate effectively and influence others in a structured manner.
  • Build quality relationships by reading situations and modifying behavior.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Economics, Data Processing/Analytics/Science, Computer and Information Science, or other relevant fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial due diligence or corporate strategy roles.
  • Thorough knowledge of mergers, integrations, spin-offs, and divestiture transactions.
  • Experience in analyzing company financials and assisting with strategic planning.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
  • Experience with Tableau and advanced business analytics software.
  • Proven record of success in developing strategic analyses and client deliverables.
