About the position

The position involves performing a wide variety of job functions associated with maintaining inventory integrity and improving efficiencies throughout the distribution center. Key responsibilities include performing order adjustments, monitoring and resolving allocation issues, conducting inventory transfers, and applying location labels. The role also requires auditing outbound parcels, performing daily cycle counts, and maintaining safety standards while operating equipment. Team members with experience may be designated as trainers, responsible for conducting training programs and ensuring documentation is complete. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform order adjustments (repicks).
  • Monitor, research, and resolve allocation issues in the Problem Resolution (Orders) program.
  • Perform inventory transfers and adjustments as needed.
  • Print and apply location label requests.
  • Request repair and replacement of RF and Vocollect units.
  • Review and research various reports.
  • Research inventory discrepancies and explain large quantity on hand adjustments.
  • Perform all job functions associated with processing stray parts.
  • Research and correct item numbers and locations in the LogPro Quantity Correction program.
  • Audit outbound parcels and inbound license plates daily and verify results.
  • Perform daily audits and reconcile all items located in damage locations.
  • Perform all job functions associated with relabel and changeover projects.
  • Perform slotting jobs determined by the DC and the Slotting Task Force Leader.
  • Maintain correct rule sets and assignments.
  • Help maintain accurate dimensional data.
  • Ensure the process of safe weight on beams.
  • Perform all job functions associated with Factory Stock Adjustments, Factory Stock Lifts, Final Sweeps and Recalls.
  • Perform daily cycle counts of select Freon item numbers.
  • Perform a monthly inventory of critical supply items.
  • Cycle count each DC location at least once per trimester and perform a Return Department Verification each quarter.
  • Assist in maintaining ship percentage with on hand and DC shrink goals.
  • Keep all work areas neat and clean, including cleanup of any spills that occur while performing job duties.
  • Maintain safety standards while operating and identify unsafe practices and situations.
  • As a trainer, take ownership of the DC target training program ensuring that all training is conducted according to schedule, and that all documentation is complete.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read and match numerical and alphabetical characters quickly and accurately

Nice-to-haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Familiarity with auto parts and knowledge of the automotive warehouse and/or store industry
  • Working knowledge of the WMS operation systems and DC operations
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Mechanical Equipment certification
  • Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
