Responsibilities
- Follow the age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development.
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment for all children.
- Monitor and assess children's progress in various developmental areas including cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.
- Provide care for infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Foster positive relationships with children through play-based learning activities.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive teaching approach across the daycare.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the classroom to provide an optimal learning environment.
- Daily cleaning of the environment you work in.
- Support children with special education needs by adapting activities to meet individual requirements.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in an educational or caregiving setting is a good asset.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices is helpful but not required.
- Experience in infant care and toddler care is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with childhood development milestones is beneficial.
- Background in special education is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- A nurturing demeanor with patience and understanding towards children's needs.
