Responsibilities

  • Follow the age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development.
  • Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment for all children.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress in various developmental areas including cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.
  • Provide care for infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Foster positive relationships with children through play-based learning activities.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive teaching approach across the daycare.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the classroom to provide an optimal learning environment.
  • Daily cleaning of the environment you work in.
  • Support children with special education needs by adapting activities to meet individual requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children in an educational or caregiving setting is a good asset.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices is helpful but not required.
  • Experience in infant care and toddler care is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with childhood development milestones is beneficial.
  • Background in special education is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
  • A nurturing demeanor with patience and understanding towards children's needs.
