About The Position

Howard Building Maintenance is hiring a full-time Day Porter to help maintain professional office environments in Downtown Boise. This position is much more than “just cleaning.” Many days include a combination of janitorial work, supply management, facility walkthroughs, inspections, and helping ensure buildings remain clean, organized, and running smoothly. It’s a great role for someone who enjoys independence, structure, and a fast-moving workday.

Requirements

• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Ability to work the full Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleaning standards
• Ability to work independently and stay productive throughout the day
• Positive attitude and professional communication skills
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive cleaning duties
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Willingness to learn company procedures and follow safety protocols

Nice To Haves

• Prior janitorial or cleaning experience is preferred, but not required — we are willing to train the right candidate

Responsibilities

• Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and restroom cleaning
• Restocking supplies and monitoring inventory levels
• Facility inspections and building walkthroughs
• Trash removal and maintaining clean common areas
• Assisting with deliveries and supply organization
• Reporting maintenance or cleanliness concerns
• Helping maintain a professional appearance throughout office spaces
