The Davenport Screw Machine Setup Operator plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process by setting up, operating, and maintaining Davenport multi-spindle machines. This position requires a strong mechanical background and precision in work to ensure high-quality production. The operator will be responsible for troubleshooting, inspecting materials, and maintaining safety standards in a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multi-spindle screw/Davenport machines according to blueprints and work orders.
• Select and inspect materials and tooling to guarantee accuracy and efficiency throughout production.
• Make minor adjustments to machines to keep everything running smoothly.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify that parts meet exact specifications.
• Keep accurate records of machine performance and production outputs.
• Identify and solve non-conformances to ensure high-quality products and improve production efficiency.
• Follow all safety procedures and ensure the work environment meets OSHA standards.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience working with Davenport or multi-spindle screw machines.
• Strong mechanical mindset with troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
