Bloomberg News is seeking an experienced Data Visualization Editor in Washington D.C. to lead team members in creating data-driven charts, maps and other graphics, and in executing ambitious visual narratives. We value editors who can identify insights that help readers understand news as it evolves, collaborate with newsroom colleagues to ensure our team's contributions to priority coverage are coordinated and timely, and inspire data visualization reporters to create clear and informative graphics. In addition to the Washington-based team, you'll have opportunities to collaborate with Bloomberg News Data Visualization colleagues in Hong Kong, Singapore, London, New York and San Francisco. Relying on your sound news judgment, refined design sensibilities and technical knowledge, you'll edit graphics and visualizations on a variety of topics and deadlines. We value ideators who can spot the next beat in an ongoing news event and conceptualize novel visual stories, as well as mentor reporters to generate their own ideas for graphics and stories. You'll assign stories and deliver clear, actionable feedback as you edit. We value editors who lead by example and pitch in to ensure we publish on deadline.
