Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the data security industry.
- Monitor and interpret data security regulations across various countries and regions.
- Assess the impact of emerging regulations on our products, services and market.
- Provide guidance to internal teams on compliance requirements.
- Work closely with product development teams to ensure our solutions meet or exceed regulatory standards.
- Assist in the design and implementation of security features that address specific regulatory needs.
- Develop strategies to enter new markets while ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Advise leadership on regulatory risks and mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and present reports on regulatory changes and market dynamics to stakeholders.
- Liaise with legal counsel and external regulatory bodies as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in data security, compliance, or related roles.
- Experience in the SaaS industry is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of data security principles and technologies.
- Proficient in cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.
- Expertise in global data security and privacy regulations such as NIS2, DORA, GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and others.
- Experience with compliance audits and certification processes is a plus.
- Proven ability to conduct market research and analyze complex data sets.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to explain technical and regulatory information clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Passion for data security and compliance.
- Ability to prioritize and perform effectively in a dynamic work environment.
