About the position

The Data Operations Strategy Manager at Barclays is responsible for designing, developing, and executing testing strategies to validate software functionality, performance, and user experience. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, continuously improve testing processes, and ensure software quality and reliability. The manager will also engage in complex data analysis and provide strategic insights to senior stakeholders, driving innovation and excellence in the organization's digital landscape.

Responsibilities

• Development and implementation of comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and ensure compliance with established quality standards.
• Creation and execution of automated test scripts, leveraging testing frameworks and tools to facilitate early detection of defects and quality issues.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, participate in design discussions, and contribute to the development of acceptance criteria.
• Conduct root cause analysis for identified defects, working closely with developers to provide detailed information and support defect resolution.
• Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, contributing to the organization's technology communities.

Requirements

• Experience with customer-driven operations strategies.
• Hands-on experience with creating, maintaining, and publishing exception reports.
• Ability to own, present, and explain complex scenarios/data sets and business insights to senior stakeholders.
• Exposure to working with technology partners to improve workflows.
• Experience in driving and proposing process improvements based on data review and visualization.
• Ability to apply industry knowledge and a data-driven approach to improve client data.
• Experience in gathering entity information from external sources and troubleshooting out-of-the-box scenarios.
• Familiarity with tools/engines like Quantexa, D&B, and Company House is an advantage.
• Proficiency in tools like Alteryx, Python, SQL, VBA, or data visualization tools.
• Degree or record of accomplishment in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related scientific disciplines.
• Experience in stakeholder management at a senior level.
