We are currently seeking a Data Governance Lead to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina (US-NC), United States (US).

Responsibilities

  • Leading design and delivery of a comprehensive Data Governance operating model (i.e., roles & responsibilities, entitlements, controls, operating model execution, etc.)
  • Leading a migration effort of data from Collibra to Microsoft Purview within a complex data and business environment
  • Experience in leading the solution design, execution, and management of a large scale data migration and governance oversight program for various types of financial data (incl. risk, compliance, regulatory data)
  • Experience in managing data within Microsoft Purview
  • Experience with migrating data to Microsoft Purview from other systems / data governance tools (incl. metadata mapping, data standardization, data validation, quality checks, etc.)
  • Experience with managing data in Collibra utilizing various functions/components
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources, ensuring data quality, integrity, and accuracy.
  • Perform data cleansing, validation, and preprocessing to prepare structured and unstructured data for analysis.
  • Develop and execute queries, scripts, and data manipulation tasks using SQL, Python, or other relevant tools.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations, drawing meaningful conclusions that inform business decisions.
  • Create clear and concise data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to gather and understand data requirements, translating them into actionable insights.
  • Work closely with other departments to support their data needs.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and other analysts to support data governance management activities
  • Continuously monitor data quality and proactively identify anomalies or discrepancies, recommending corrective actions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance analytical techniques related to data governance and management
  • Assist in the identification and implementation of process improvements to streamline data workflows and analysis.
  • Understanding of data privacy laws and impact to financial services organizations

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience using Microsoft Purview
  • 5+ years of experience working on data governance or management projects in a hands-on tooling role
  • 3+ years of leading data governance and management programs
  • 1+ years using Collibra
