About the position

The Data Equity Program Manager (OPA4) at the Oregon Health Authority is a full-time management role responsible for leading a Data Equity team within the Health Policy and Analytics Division. This position focuses on creating and maintaining analytical processes for collecting and storing data related to race, ethnicity, language, disability, sexual orientation, and gender identity. The role involves collaboration with various divisions to ensure the effective use of this data in addressing health inequities and improving health outcomes for disadvantaged populations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Data Equity team within the Health Policy and Analytics Division.
  • Coordinate and provide technical assistance to HPA staff regarding REALD and SOGI data.
  • Develop division-wide processes to ensure reliable and understandable REALD and SOGI data efforts.
  • Provide Data Equity leadership across the HPA Division, including training programs for staff.
  • Staff a REALD & SOGI data governance committee and establish data use and sharing processes.
  • Work with agency partners to support the collection and use of REALD and SOGI data for analytic purposes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science, or a related field; or equivalent experience of eight years.
  • Five years of professional-level evaluative, analytical, and planning work experience.
  • Experience in advancing health equity and addressing systemic health disparities.
  • Experience providing technical assistance to partners in interpreting and implementing policies.
  • Demonstrated project management or program coordination experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong working knowledge of healthcare policy.
  • Knowledge of operational research techniques and methods.
  • Skill to analyze business needs and design systems or processes.
  • Knowledge of data visualization methods and tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience working with contractors or vendors.
