About the position

As a Data Engineer/Integrator at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics, you will work closely with a team of developers to meet data integration requirements. Your role involves writing and maintaining code using an ETL platform, ensuring data is transformed into suitable formats as per IC ITE initiatives. You will also enhance the ETL platform, develop and maintain software, and provide comprehensive documentation of system architecture and enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of developers to fulfill data integration requirements.
• Write and maintain code using an ETL platform.
• Interface with external teams and systems to collect data efficiently using various protocols.
• Enhance the ETL platform by adding features to shorten timelines for future data integration efforts.
• Develop and maintain software to ensure seamless integration into a fully functional system.
• Validate data ingest processes in collaboration with external teams.
• Provide comprehensive documentation covering system architecture, development, and enhancements.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in computer science, data science, or related field; or 2+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree; or 6+ years of relevant experience.
• TS/SCI with active Polygraph.
• Linux/Unix experience.
• Object Oriented programming language experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Expertise in data ingestion, data transformation (ETL), and data modeling.
• Experience with Ruby, Java, or Python.
• One year working with Restful web services.
• Experience with code development, deployment, versioning.
• Working in cloud architecture with AWS EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, Elastic Search.
• Experience with XML data formats including processing and translation with XSLT and XPath.
