About The Position
Louisiana Department of Transportation & Development (LADOTD) is undertaking a modernization initiative to enhance its district-level financial data intake and reporting processes. The project will deliver a customized data management platform that aligns with LADOTD’s existing operational workflows while introducing targeted improvements in usability, security, auditability, and reporting. The solution must maintain continuity with LADOTD’s established practices while providing a secure, reliable, and scalable foundation for long-term operational excellence. The OTS Application Development Office (AppDM) will provide oversight. The primary objectives of this project are to: Modernize and streamline district financial data intake processes. Improve data accuracy through automated validations and built-in calculations. Strengthen auditability, security, and user access controls. Enhance reporting capabilities for both district users and administrators. Provide a stable, secure, and maintainable hosting environment for long-term operations.
Requirements
- 10 Required Data analysis, mapping, and migration between legacy and modern systems
- 10 Required Developing and implementing comprehensive data conversion plans
- 10 Required Designing and executing data validation and testing processes
- 10 Required Ensuring data quality, integrity, and consistency throughout conversion projects
- 10 Required Collaborating with business stakeholders, IT teams, and cross-functional departments to define and prioritize data conversion requirements
Nice To Haves
- 1 Preferred Prior experience with LADOTD data or other similar state applications.
- 1 Preferred Experience with data conversion tools, ETL platforms, and scripting languages.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and map data from the old system to the new one.
- Develop and implement data conversion plans.
- Design and execute data validation and testing processes.
- Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data conversion process.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and other departments to define and prioritize data conversion requirements.
- Research and evaluate new data conversion technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Mentor and train other team members on data conversion best practices.
- Communicate with stakeholders and provide regular updates on project progress and status.
