BGIS is looking for a Data Center Technician IV to join the team in McCarran, NV. The Data Center Technician IV is responsible for advanced and complex front-line support of IT and Network Infrastructure within the white space areas of the data center. This includes rack placement, rack bolting, rack grounding, and rack anchoring within the data center and to data center standards. The Data Center Technician IV demonstrates BGIS values in communication with clients and other team members.

  • Perform full Rack & Roll lifecycle: de-palletizing, placement, bolting, grounding, anchoring, and dressing fiber/copper cabling to exacting data center standards.
  • Physically install and power-up servers, storage, network switches, and peripherals
  • Crimp, cut, and terminate grounding cables using hand and hydraulic tools.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and method-of-procedure (MOP) documents.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients on custom infrastructure solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Serve as Tier-IV escalation for complex hardware, power, cooling, and network issues.
  • Coordinate containment, airflow optimization, power distribution, and cooling efficiencies with facility teams.
  • Provide visual inspections, remote-hands services, power cycling, and status reporting.
  • Receive, document, and store client shipments.
  • Maintain accurate records in ticketing, asset management, and DCIM systems.
  • Ensure strict adherence to SLAs, security standards (HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO-27001, PCI, etc.), and audit requirements.
  • Comply with all safety policies and wear required PPE.
  • Provide security escorts for vendors and carriers.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with IT/network systems in a data center or equivalent critical environment
  • Minimum 1 industry certification (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA A+/Network+/Server+, MCSA/MCSE, BICSI DCDC, Uptime Institute AOS, etc.) or equivalent proven experience
  • Advanced knowledge of raised-floor infrastructure: cabinets, containment, PDU/RPP, structured cabling (fiber & copper), and core systems (power, cooling, fire suppression)
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and server hardware (Windows, Linux/Unix/Linux)
  • Expert troubleshooting skills for complex systems and infrastructure issues
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, AutoCAD, and DCIM platforms
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation
  • Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and security clearance requirements.
