About the position
As a Data Center Design (Mechanical) Engineer at TikTok, you will play a crucial role in the development and optimization of mechanical systems for data centers. Your responsibilities will include evaluating design submissions, ensuring compliance with standards, and collaborating with various teams to enhance operational efficiency. This position is integral to supporting TikTok's mission of inspiring creativity and bringing joy through reliable and efficient data center infrastructure services.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for technical evaluation of design submission by various providers
- Responsible for technical design of mechanical system for data centers
- Responsible for data center standards & critical equipment specifications
- Support and work closely with the design team for the optimization of data hall standards
- Support operation team for trouble-shooting and optimizing design standards
- Support Ad-Hoc project management tasks assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Familiar with code & fire code
- With relevant experience of project delivery for at least 5000 racks project
Nice-to-haves
- With relevant experience of liquid cooling deployment
- Certified Professional Engineer
