About the position

The Data Analyst position at our technology and manufacturing company in Lawrenceville, GA, involves developing and maintaining dashboards, metrics, and reports for key performance indicators (KPIs). The role focuses on data collection and analysis to drive continuous improvement and support strategic decision-making across various operational functions. The ideal candidate will utilize statistical and analytical techniques to interpret data, identify trends, and recommend changes to enhance efficiency and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, metrics, and reports for KPIs.
  • Create daily, weekly, and monthly metrics and reports that drive action.
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis to determine focus areas for improvement.
  • Create metrics or reports to track performance on key projects.
  • Analyze data to determine key focus areas for driving continuous improvement.
  • Develop and publish meaningful metrics and reports that will drive action towards business goals.
  • Produce and track key performance indicators.
  • Streamline data collection processes for automating different business processes.
  • Train end users on how to utilize the dashboards, metrics, and reports effectively.
  • Lead Lean projects as required by the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or associate degree in computer science, engineering, applied mathematics, or statistics.
  • 3+ years' work experience as a data analyst.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft programs including Excel, D365, and PowerBI.
  • Experience with data analysis using Python, SQL, Tableau, and other tools.
  • Ability to prepare business cases with a strong analytical and structured approach.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Lean methodologies (5S, VSM, Flow, Takt time, line balancing).
  • Project management skills and training.
  • Certifications such as Certified Analytics Professional, Microsoft PowerBI Data Analyst Associate, SAS Statistical Business Analyst, CompTIA Data+, or Cloudera Data Analyst.
