The Data Analyst II plays a significant role by using the data analysis process to understand, interpret, and predict patterns in business, and then use those data-driven insights to enhance the business and support it goals. This role is used to guide the business by understanding historical business to create future avenues of growth.

  • Dive into data and quickly become an expert on internal and non-traditional data sets.
  • Migrate existing queries reliant on old technology into newly created platforms.
  • Maintain data and file integrity.
  • Optimize existing data query scripts and develop new ones as needed.
  • Create user-friendly reports and Tableau visualizations for staff and management.
  • Enhance existing and build new Tableau dashboards as needed.
  • Track, review, manage and audit software development projects, particularly from database access and usage perspectives.
  • Work with staff, managers and executives on analytic projects and develop data-driven solutions and recommendations, including working within the BI team.
  • Execute creation of tabular operational reports and aggregation reports with medium to high complexity.
  • Handle more complicated report requests, data visualizations and trend analysis.
  • Help to define guidelines for data management, governance, and reporting.
  • Contribute to workflow or process change/redesign and to form a strong basic understanding of the specific product or process.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related field required.
  • 3 years’ experience in data analytics required.
  • Advanced SQL or Python data querying, coding experience and understanding of basic coding syntax.
  • Advanced Excel skills to create/edit pivot tables.
  • Understand/create/manipulate database formulas.
  • Create/modify macros (VBA knowledge preferred).
  • Adjust formatting to create professional reports.
  • Advanced data visualization skills, preferably with Tableau.
  • MBA desired.
  • Tableau Certified Data Analyst or Tableau Desktop Specialist (preferred).
  • Certified Analytics Professional (CAP®) is preferred.
