About the position

The Data Analyst, Growth position at Eight Sleep is a critical role within the Data & Analytics team, focusing on leveraging data to drive insights that influence product and marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will analyze marketing and ecommerce data, design experiments, and create dashboards to optimize performance marketing efforts. This role requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to communicate complex findings effectively, contributing to the company's mission of enhancing sleep through innovative technology.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze marketing and ecommerce data sets to identify trends and unique insights that optimize the Performance Marketing and Web programs
  • Design and analyze lift-based/incrementality experiments across Performance Marketing channels (Facebook, Search, YouTube, OTT, etc.)
  • Create and maintain dashboards and visualizations using Looker and other tools to provide key insights to the Growth team
  • Build statistical models that produce revenue projections and ad spend allocation
  • Assist in managing our data warehouse; building and maintaining data pipelines, data models and automating workflows
  • Utilize data to deepen Eight Sleep's understanding of user acquisition and improve performance at the portfolio and channel level
  • Act as a key driver in building and improving Eight Sleep's marketing attribution modeling

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Analytics Engineer or similar technical role
  • B.S. degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or other quantitative field preferred
  • Expert-level knowledge of SQL, experience using Python or R is a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of end-to-end data infrastructure, including using data pipeline tools, data transformation tools such as DBT and data warehousing best practices
  • Expert knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Looker, Tableau, and Google Sheets/Excel
  • A data-driven approach to performance marketing and experience utilizing large data sets to inform strategic decision making
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights
  • Be an Independent self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable owning a high level of responsibility
