About the position
Sidwell Friends School is seeking a per diem Daily Substitute Teacher for the Middle School division, responsible for covering classes for grades 5 to 8 when regular teachers are absent. The role requires delivering lessons effectively and maintaining a conducive learning environment. The ideal candidate should be adaptable and proficient in both in-person and remote instruction.
Responsibilities
- Cover classes when the regular teacher is absent or unavailable
- Deliver lessons and lectures in an organized and effective manner
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment that is conducive to learning
Requirements
- Relevant college degree
- Experience working with Middle School aged children
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Patience, flexibility, and adaptability to respond to the changing needs of the classroom environment
Benefits
- Daily Rate: $75.00-$150.00
